FULL PAPER FORMATTING
When preparing your manuscript, please follow these guidelines:
- Prepare your article using our AIP Conference Proceedings 8.5 x 11-inch single-column template. Download the full paper template here (Microsoft Word file).
- Use Times New Roman font, the point size will vary by section.
- Make sure that all author affiliation associations are correct. This means author vs. affiliation and author vs. email address. If there is only one affiliation for all authors, the association is not needed.
- Make sure that figures, images, and tables appear within the text and do not follow the Reference section.
- Embed all fonts into your article PDF.
- Make sure that all images and tables fall within the margins of the template.
- Check all figures and images carefully to ensure that they are complete and that no parts are missing or cut off.
- Use clear, legible graphics and diagrams. The font, formulas, tables, and figures should be clear and easy to read.
- Number all tables, figures, and formulas sequentially. Place all captions or other information associated with a table, image, or figure on the same page as that table, image, or figure.
- Include one-page papers — they are not allowed. The number of pages for full paper should be between 5 – 7 pages.
- DO NOT add page numbers or headers/footers.
- DO NOT use copyrighted material without permission. If you have included previously published figures in your article, you must provide written approval from the copyright holder to re-use the figure. Also, include the appropriate credit line associated with the figure in the caption.
- DO NOT alter the margins of our templates.
- DO NOT display the title in ALL CAPS (initial cap only).
- DO NOT include any headers, footers, or page numbers in your document.
- Line spacing should be 1.0 throughout the entire article, no double spacing.
- Use clear, legible graphics and diagrams contained within the margins.
- All pages are to be in portrait.
- References preparation using Endnote or Mendeley software is MANDATORY. Reference style for Endnote can be downloaded here. Referencing using Mendeley Cite should be done by searching American Institute of Physics referencing style.
These are the steps involved in the paper submission and review process:
- Full papers should be directly uploaded through the online system on the official website of the organization or conference.
- Once the full paper is submitted, it undergoes an initial screening process to ensure its academic validity and relevance. The paper is checked using Turnitin or a similar plagiarism detection tool during this stage. Only papers with Turnitin results below 30% are considered for the peer review. Authors may be encouraged to revise their papers based on this screening.
- The editorial team selects two reviewers who are experts in the same field as the submitted paper. The peer review process follows a single-blind format, where the reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, but the authors do not know the reviewers' identities.
- The editorial team holds the final responsibility for the selection of every accepted paper. The decision to accept a paper is based on the feedback and comments provided by the reviewers.
- All authors are notified of the final decision regarding their paper. If a paper is accepted with revisions, the authors are asked to provide a revised version, incorporating the comments and suggestions provided by the reviewers.
