Dr. Arlina binti Ali | Explain the difference in XRD results for both samples. | Answer from presenter | XRD data of silver films revealed that there exist four diffraction peaks in the spectra, namely the (1 1 1), (222), (200) and (311)peaks. It reveals that crystalline structure is better when silver film is deposited at higher substrate temperature. At higher substrate temperature, peak intensities especially in the (111) crystallographic direction increase along with the reduce in peak widths, implying the increase in the fraction of silver crystalline. Therefore, better crystallinity is achieved when depositing silver film at higher substrate temperature. |
