Ir Dr Selamat Aliman,

BIODATA
Ir. Dr Selamat is a Professional Mining Engineer with Practicing Certificate, registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia since 1988. He has over 37 years of working experiences in the government and private sectors of the industry. He is competent in the technical aspects of the mining and quarrying operation. He was member of the engineering team for several projects where he prepared technical specifications, engineering drawings and procurement of plants and machinery and has been exposed to all technical aspects in various stages of the project’s implementation, development, construction, and operation. He has also been responsible for the preparation of documents, reports, and scheme for applying various permits and licences necessary for the operation of the projects
In addition Ir. Dr Selamat has 16 years of experience in drafting and implementing various guidelines,SOP, Best Management Practices (BPMs) enforcement of relevant laws and regulations relating to environment, mining, quarrying, mineral processing and dealing with minerals while he worked at the Department of Survey and Mapping, and the Department of Minerals and Geoscience and also as Consulting Mining Engineer.
In the last 30 years, his SBA Consultants firm has been appointed as consulting engineers to mining and quarrying projects worth more than RM2.3 billion and engaged in minerals exploration works worth more than RM500 million where a total of more than 80 mining and quarry projects have successfully obtained their respective operating tenements and operating licenses. He is responsible in managing a QA’s production within the estimated operating cost. He was also involved as a leading consultant in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Non-Radioactive Rare Earth (NR-REE) Mining and Processing in Malaysia. He is currently the leading consulting mining engineer in the REE mining pilot project in Perak, the first REE mining operation in Malaysia.
